An 8-week mentorship programme for law students, graduates, paralegals, and legal professionals, offering practical career guidance from practising attorneys across diverse legal fields.
Through weekly group mentoring, participants develop career strategies, CV and interview skills, professional branding, networking abilities, and insights into traditional and emerging legal career pathways.
About this mentorship program
Our 8-week programme is designed exclusively for law and paralegal students, law graduates and legal professionals. Sessions are hosted by legal professionals and admitted attorneys whose careers span corporate and commercial law, litigation, Road Accident Fund (RAF) matters, conveyancing, mining, construction, pharmaceuticals and cross-border transactions. This gives mentees a first-hand view of the many directions a legal career can take. We also invite guest mentors from across the profession to share their journeys and offer fresh perspectives. Mentees are placed in groups, each matched with a practising attorney or legal professional, and meet weekly for mentorship and career coaching. Throughout the programme, mentees receive guidance on Career mapping; CV and cover letter drafting; Interview prep: what recruiters want; Legal career pathways: articles, pupillage and non-traditional legal careers; Professional branding; The art of networking Building a sustainable, healthy career in a demanding profession; and more!
